Thank you for the counselling session. My daughter liked the way the session was conducted and the report brings a good clarity and enables taking an informed decision on options available and how to go about finalising a career. The dashboard is a very helpful tool for students and parents to run through the finer aspects in detail. Each stage of the counselling was very detailed with specific directions to students & parents. Clarifications were attended to very well.

I explored career counselling for my elder child at more than ten centres; unfortunately, none of them were effective. What stood out as truly different in this experience was the counsellor’s thoughtful, professional, and deeply child-centred approach. The first two sessions were conducted exclusively with the child through audio calls, without parental involvement. Sreepriya ma’am focused on breaking the ice and building a strong rapport, making a sincere effort to understand my daughter as an individual. The first session was entirely dedicated to getting to know the child—her interests, comfort level, thoughts, and personality. The counsellor came down to the child’s level, asked meaningful questions, and patiently gathered information. She was kind, non-judgemental, and extremely mindful of the language she used, which helped my daughter feel safe and understood. I was genuinely surprised to see how openly my daughter spoke, as she is an introvert and usually finds it difficult to express herself. The second session focused on the Psychometric Assessment. What impressed me most was that the counsellor did not rush into administering the test. Instead, she clearly explained and modelled every instruction before beginning. As a teacher myself, I learnt a great deal from observing how effectively modelling was used before expecting independent work from a child. The complete responsibility of taking the test was entrusted to my daughter, which encouraged independence and ownership. She completed the entire assessment confidently on her own. The third session focused on helping my daughter understand her psychometric test results. This session truly left me in awe. The counsellor carefully went through the report, covering each dimension one by one. Rather than directly explaining the results, she asked thoughtful questions, presented real-life scenarios, and encouraged my daughter to reflect and respond. This approach helped elicit my daughter’s own understanding, allowing misconceptions to be identified and gently corrected. Instead of simply handing over the report to the parents, the counsellor created curiosity and suspense, making my daughter genuinely interested in discovering and understanding her own profile. What truly sets this counsellor apart is her exceptional ability to connect with children and actively involve them in the counselling process, shifting the focus entirely to the child—which is exactly what we wanted. She never gives results directly; instead, she patiently elicits insights from the child, waiting for their responses without judgement. Her approach is calm, encouraging, and respectful, never showing off her own knowledge, but demonstrating it naturally through clear, step-by-step explanations. She carefully unpacks each dimension of the assessment, opening layers gradually to spark curiosity and engagement. She acknowledges and praises the child for their efforts and achievements, fostering confidence and a genuine sense of ownership. Every suggestion she makes is backed by clear reasoning, examples, and evidence, which builds immense trust in her guidance. The way she blends deep knowledge, empathy, and patience makes the entire experience insightful, meaningful, and empowering for the child. Overall, this counselling journey was truly refreshing, engaging, and transformative. I deeply appreciate the counsellor’s professional, empathetic, and child-focused approach, which has made a lasting impact on my daughter’s confidence, self-understanding, and career outlook.
